Anybody have any work done at Libbys in New Haven. They have been there forever, but can they work well on new Triumphs. My Bonneville is almost ready for 500 mile check up.

I didn't purchase my t-bird there, but I get her serviced there now.
Joe, the Triumph lead mechanic is great, he did a guage pack swap under warrantly for me, as well as swapping the cam and electronics from a Tiger to my t-bird, and the quality of work was great.
I have been dealing with Libby's for over a decade, with my Yamaha 650 special, Steve the parts guy is great, and everyone is very friendly and knowledgable.
I would recommend using Libby's.
Where did you buy your bike?

I bought it at Gold Coast Motorsports in New York because Libbys had no more T100's. Had Norman Hyde Togas put on and AI done. They too were real nice, but Libbys is around the corner for service. Love the bike.

pupkin,
Can you post your experience after you have the service performed? I bought my Speedmaster from them and am curious about the good/bad things to look forward to on my first service. Can't complain about the sales service...they treated me very well...they even delivered my bike to my home in Stratford for free (and during rush hour).
thanks,
Brad

Had my first service done. The sevice manager listened well and responded to my needs. Seems like a pretty good outfit.

Just got my SM back from Libby's after her first service. The experience was pleasant enough...except for dishing out $191
I chatted a good bit both on drop off and pick up with the service manager, Joe. He seems pretty lowkey, but gets going after talking for a bit.
I got him started on the AI after I told him I removed mine. He went on a little rant about what a waste they are.
He also told me he likes to build up a Triumph for a demo bike, and that he likes to beat the snot out of them. He said: "they are the only bikes that can take it (the beating) straight out of the crate". I found that very encouraging.
I know Dave had a problem with Libby's...but I'd have to give them a thumbs up for the service. Plus, I had a blast driving there and back.
Best,
Brad

Glad to see some locals nearby! I must be spending too much time in the Sprint forum... Bought my '06 at Libby's and have had very good experience so far... George Libby went the extra distance to help me out, knowing that I knew nothing about Triumphs.... Joe in service delivered as promised and on time, and seemed willing to answer all questions... Parts department: I've read some posts complaining about availability and time to get parts around the country, and it certainly wasn't a problem here... I have ordered a few times so far, got everything in 3-5 days along with a phone call.... A friend had a bad experience with some bolts not tightened correctly after service some time ago....he was right to be concerned, but never went back to allow them to make good... Seems to me that a dealer can't always be perfect, but they have been with me.......
