Capital Area Triumph closing
I was totally shocked to get an email from Capital Area Triumph located near Harrisburg, PA saying they were closing at the end of the month. Bummed isn't the word...but having the next closest dealer an hour away means a lot more planning instead of being able to just drop by. I am familiar with Hermy's in Port Clinton having been there several times and I know my riding buddy Brian thinks the world of them as I did of Capital Area. I wish the guys at Capital Area Triumph well as they end this chapter and start the next. Maybe they can write the President and ask how his economic recovery plan is going.

I have been going there for bikes and service since around 2004. I had just been up there for a 18k service two weeks ago. I noticed their inventory seemed lower than normal but I didn't anticipate them closing. They are about 45 minutes from me, about the same as Hermys and Martins.
I wish John, Ben and the others the best!

That sucks. John and Joe are great guys.
I wonder if Velocity Cycle will pick up the Triumph line because I won't deal with Pete's in Baltimore.
If anybody in the area needs anything, they are offering 30% off basically everything in stock.

There's also Manayunk Triumph in Philadelphia: Small dealership, exclusively Triumph, nice guys, cool neighborhood.

I would probably go to Clinton Cycle down in MD or Martin Motorsports in PA.

I deal with both Hermy's and Martin's. I prefer Hermy's, but will get some work done at Martin's if I don't feel like doing it myself. The staff at Martin's are friendly enough, but they are a mega dealer with several lines of bikes. At least it seems they give the Trumpets a priority.
That said, both of my Triumphs came From Hermy's. If you need parts, they are more likely to have it in stock, before most places. The down side is you may have to wade through the BMW guys to get to the counter, LOL.
I've never been to Capital Area, but I've only heard good things. It'll be sad to see them go.

How about Fredericktown Yamaha/Triumph
http://www.fredericktownyamaha.com/
Any experience with this shop?
