Hi Everyone, I wanted to share my experiences with Great Bay Motorcycles in North Hampton, NH:

Bought a 2011 Triumph Tiger (standard, non-ABS) here. Plenty of attention to sell me the bike. When I came back to close the deal it took 1.5 hours for anyone to pay attention to me. Another hour to sign the relevant paperwork as all the sales people scurried around to take care of new customers . Cold reception from the service manager for routine maintenance and break-in issues (sporadic computer failure at 250 miles onward).

They've had the bike for over two weeks in the middle of the season for a different parts issue (oil leaking from two places on a brand new bike). I've lost out on two scheduled trips because they didn't bother to look at the bike I purchased two months ago for over two weeks in peak riding season . If you have an option, shop somewhere that will pay attention to your bike after you hand them a check.

Forget Great Bay and go to Second Wind BMW/Triumph, They will bend over backwards to help you out. I've dealt with a lot of shops in MA. and also dealt with Great Bay alot(whole nuther story) and they are by far the best I have ever dealt with, hands down! Anytime I was in a pinch they have always come through for me, with parts or service. That's why I will travel the 110mi. also why my girlfriend bought her t-bird1600 there.

Glad I searched on this topic first... I appreciate the input even though the responses have been sitting for awhile. I was going to ask for feedback on Second Wind vs Great Bay for my first Triumph purchase this summer. I wasn't impressed with the overall feel of the sales staff at Great Bay, but I stopped in a while back and they may have sensed I was just window shopping at that point. On the other hand, the salesman I spoke to at SW last month was very friendly and considerably more helpful but again... I suppose that could be attributed to my demeanor indicating that I was serious about dropping some money this time around. I guess the real question is which one is most qualified to take care of the bike once I sign the contract? Thanks in advance!

+1 on Second Wind.

I haven't used them for service on my Bonnie yet, but they were very good on my BMW R1200R (compared to Max's, but that's OT).

For me its Second Wind. For example this week I needed a new float and gasket for the fuel sender unit on my older Daytona 955i and they actually had it in stock and they shipped it down to me and I had it in my hands in 2 days. Most places i've dealt with i've had to order spark plugs and wait 10 days. Its those little things that keep me going back. But really its up to you.

It appears that Adam Kells is back there now. I wish I knew, as I might have given them a chance at selling me my new Tiger 800 ABS.

I had bought Adam's 2005 Tiger 955i (private sale) shortly after he left to become the general manager of Nault's Suzuki in Manchester NH. He's a great guy, as is Don Jeka, the owner.

My only issue with the dealership had been a service related problem from years ago when a female friend had them do her Tiger 1050's first service. They really screwed up the chain tensioning assembly, and denied responsibility for it. I would hope they've changed their attitude with Adam back in there. He really cares!

I don't think Adam was there in my final dealing's with G.B. which was around '06 or '07. He was a good guy and he always kept me informed about parts and service that was being done. I remember asking for him after an issue I had had after some service and when they told me he wasn't there anymore I said no wonder the place was going down hill. If all else fail's, I might consider doing business there if he's really back.

He definitely there, A member of another forum I belong to had picked his new Tiger Explorer there this weekend. He posted some photos and Adam was clearly there in one of them.

I don't know if this will work as you may have to be a member to see some photos, but Adam is in the third photo down.

I like Adam.

When I had issues with a bike purchased from another state, he went out of his way to get three new carbs to cure a running issue and then a new tank due to filler neck paint pealing, all under warantee. They even took the carbs off the mechanics bike to try on mine to confirm that was the issue before persuing the warantee claim. That's service.

I travelled 6 hours to get the service done there to avoid the local idiots, who, coincidentally are now out of business.

There was never any questions or hesitation on their part; they did what a responsible dealer should so and I respect Adam very much for it.

If I were to get a new Triumph, I wouldn't hesitate to make the 6 hour trips to buy there.
