I'm not sure why, but apparently Triumph will not be attending the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows.
For the last several years, I've gone to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, taken a bunch of pics, and put them online here in the albums.
Still plan on attending and doing the same, but not having Triumph around will be "different".

The show is a five minute ride from home, so I might go this year. I might not, since Triumph won't be there. I wonder why they made that decision. Maybe they think they don't need any more publicity for their bikes than they already have. I really don't get it at all.

I think this post was placed just to wind people up, Will, Not to worry - we will both be there staring at the 675 we ordered!

Well I would be interested to know if they are there are not. They were last year. I find it hard to believe they wouldn't be with all of the buzz about the D675 and the Scrambler.
Maybe you Texas guys can let us know if they show? The DC show is not till Jan. Really, the show is getting kinda lame, I mean except for seeing the new bikes. The vendors suck............

In our RAT pack meeting last night our dealer confirmed that Triumph won't be attending the IMS shows. Apparently the cost is too expensive for them. I didn't go last year but I heard Triumph had a really small setup so maybe they think it isn't worth it.

Maybe that's the reason why Triumph doesn't want to be associated with it?

That is too bad they won't be there. The long beach show is in December for me. I will go anyways because I love motorcycles regardless of name. If I could,(need to hit that lottery), I would have all types. I would be the Jay Leno of motorcycles. Full wherehouse somewhere filled with just motorcycle. A guy can dream.
I want to see all that is out there, especially dirtbikes because it is getting close to getting rid of my old one and get something new.

There have been some shows that weren't that exciting, but generally I enjoy looking at all bikes and whatever "eye candy" that us middle-aged guys can get away with staring at :-D

 When my sister in law was working for a local Ducati dealership, she would hire a model to wear racing leathers and decorate their display. Watching visitors interact with a very pretty girl in racing leathers was worth the price of admission. We were going to put some well used knee sliders on her, just to make things even more confusing, but I don't think that is going to happen. The same girl was hired by a Harley dealer to decorate their display last year.

Please note to the folks in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is from an e-mail I received from the Eurosport Cycle DFW Rats here in Ft.Worth.
It appears that even though Triumph will not be represented in the IMS Show, their Demo truck is scheduled to be at Eurosport on Nov 5-6 the weekend of the show at the Ft.Worth convention center. The Demo truck will offer rides on the new Triumphs and rumors have it that Eurosport Cycle will have a turbocharged Rocket III on display.
Check their website at eurosportcycle.com for directions and further information.
