I have to say that I have had 2 very positive experiences with Triumph America Customer Service:
1. When I bought my used ST, I called and left a message asking if there were any outstanding recalls. Got a call back in 2 days saying there weren't.
2. When my fuel sending unit started leaking gas all over my engine, I called and after a couple of days, T-America said that even though they showed that the prior owner had it repaired under warranty, it was during a time when it could have been replaced by an old unit. Short of it is that they authorized So Cal Triumph to overnight a new unit. (I already had the bike apart).

ON THE OTHER HAND - I have made several complaints about Saugus Triumph and Simi Valley Triumph (the two closest dealers). They don't stock standard parts, don't have competent mechanics (in fact most of them have never been factory trained), and butcher bikes because of their lack of experience/training. Triumph America has no dealer Quality control processes and it shows. Also, I went to check about ordering a Rocket III from Saugus Triumph and they can't order them because they refused to send their mechanic to GA for training. What the Hell is Triumph doing allowing dealers like this to be a representative?!!!!

OK there we go. Some good some bad. It looks like 50/50 right now. Anyone else? The untrained mechanics story is the worst kind of problem I can imagine. Parts can be had from various sources, but it a dealer misrepresents the expertise of his/her service dept. that's a serious problem.

I am hopeful that enough of the membership will reply with positive experiences to tip the scales in favor of a Triumph purchase. If not......well, there are several other bikes avail in the marketplace that I believe that I will enjoy as well.

Thanks to all who responded so far.

GRRRRRR. I BOUGHT a high sissy bar 2 weeks ago for my T100, brought it home, layed out the parts and lo and behold there was a HIGH and LOW Bar...1 Each. I took it back the next day and the dealer said he had to call Triumph. Finally, last Friday it came in and it was the WRONG HIGH bar.....nitemare, and I'm completely T'd off.

I had a warranty question for Triumph, and figured after reading this I would give Triumph USA a try to see what response I got. Very positive! I left a message for Peter Carlillo, and got a call back within hours. He is working with me to resolve my issue expeditiously. That's faster service than I get from my local dealer!

Triumph USA does need to clamp down on some shoddy and/or unresponsive dealerships, and extensively beef up the Triumph USA website.

Encouraging. I hope that the Peter is able to have a positive effect on the US dealer network. Time will tell. I can't wait too long though.... I want to make that purchase......
but from the 'right' dealer.

As i've posted in another thread, my experience with my local dealer (manayunk triumph, Philadelphia) has been quite positive. I bought my '02 ST new in '03, they had the heated grips and slip-on in stock, got the bags in within a week, had my first service done within a week (I ride a lot), got the pipe and program done in one afternoon for a very reasonable price. The 2 warranty issues I've had have been handled quickly and efficiently.
Their mechanic is quite good, parts inventory is good. I haven't dealt with Triumph USA because Manayunk has handled everything to my satisfaction so far.

Is there an Email to reach Peter C. or Customer service?
I got it, don't know if they want it splashed out here. But if you call
the number and ask they will give it to you.
they ( and Peter) were really helpful so far, and polite, so lets hope I get the answers I want
