Triumph Arkansas in Little Rock has dropped the Moto Guzzi line after only six months. They told me Saturday that they couldn't give them away. Triumphs continue to sell well at this dealership and they have had lots of requests for the Rocket III and Thruxton.

Saw a T100 owner there who in six months of ownership has made virtually every bolt-on modification sold by Triumph, Bellacorse or NewBonneville to his black Bonnie, inluding the flat slide CR carbs, but he is still running a stock airbox! He seems to be a victim of the frequent out-of stock situations encountered with Bellacorse and NewBonneville.

It's ashamed the Moto Guzzi 'Califorinia' line of bikes is so ugly because I really like the Moto Guzzi drive train. I remember riding on an Ambassador as a kid and thought it was great that the bike could lope along at highway speeds..
Now that they have hydraulic lifters, they are vitually maintenance free, they are just too ugly to sell. I've never understood how Moto Guzzi can keep on with this line without doing something to change that huge ballon tank and fenders that don't follow the radius of the tires.

I was impressed with the completeness of the California dresser, but just couldn't accept the forward control seating position. If it had a more traditional peg/foot control position I would have bought one.

I am a bit worried that the Rocket III I have on order will be the same;however, I have a fall back plan. If I don't like the seating position on the Rocket III, I am going to order a 2005 Covette convertible to ease the pain of the Rocket III not being what I want.
