Hey guys, I have been floating around this site reading posts and finally decided to sighn up and ask a question.
I live in a small town between Massillon and Wooster, Ohio. I am looking at purchasing a new bike here this winter or spring of '06 and I really have my heart set on a Triumph, the closest dealer (according to www.triumph.co.uk) is Harding's park cycle which is only 30min away and all the rest on the dealer list are over an hour away...which is no big deal except for the bike service part.
So what i'm asking is, basically, for all you Triumph owners that bought your bikes in Ohio, what dealership do you recommend going to?

I've got friends who swear by Joe's. Just make sure to note everything about you bike before you taake it in. They spilled something on my frame, and tried to tellme it was there when i tookit in. It wasn't, but they wouldn't take care of it. Whatever you do, AVOID Hinds in Columbus!!!
Just enjoy your bike!

Got my Tbird at Harding's. They are nice honest people. Trouble is, Triumph is an afterthought compared to all the other brands they sell and service. They have only one Triumph trained mech, and he is OK. Good service mgr, however, who will work with you and make right foulups. Bottom line is that patience is required - waiting for parts, waiting for the one mech to be available, etc.
Good folk, well meaning, but........
Grade: B
I don't want to be too hard on them. I will buy my new Triumph from them next spring, so they can't be all bad.

What's up with Hinds? They advertise good prices. Is it the service?

In 30 years of riding, the WORST SERVICE(!!!) EVER ngoes to Hinds. My insurance co.'s placed them on a do not use list (they said), and authorized me to have Hind's work redone!. Not only do thgey not know their bikes, their response to acknowledged screw-ups was a cup of reheated instant coffee (sorry, no cream).
THREE times they promised my bike was ready, still not right! Problems noted on work orders ignored (bent bars, dented tank, broken fairing mount [charged as new]) NONE RESOLVED/FIXED. They knew it was 100+ miles each way and each time I went to get my bike, I called to 'confirm' it was ready before I started out. Some issues included: after assuring me they had just test driven it) I found; 1) 6 lbs. air in rear tire, 2) only 1 working lowbeam [not bulb related [they thought it came that way!], matching graphics not done , IDLE RPM AT 2500, .
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!
Oh, almost forgot , they had my bike over 11 weeks, and could only show 8 hours labor, all the time acknoledging they knew it was my primary means of transportation, and this in the slow season, Nov. thru Jan., then again 6 weeks later, even though Peter Carleo assured me he could have any needed parts to hind's in 1 week!
Nuf said, love the bike, BEWARE HIND'S!!!!!!
