Thumbs up New 1200's on the Way - Trophy and Adventurer

Motorcyclenews reports that there will be at least TWO new model families coming in a year or so based around the new 1200 triple.

First is a full blown Tourer - the Trophy (my first Trump was a 1200 4 in BRG)
A triple with either Shaft (or possibly BELT) drive - this will be a full on tourer to compete with offerings from BMW, Yam FJR1300A etc. Complete with full electrics package, comms, music etc
Second is a proper Adventure bike to compete directly with BMW 1200GS

Add to that the new 1050 engine which takes it's lessons from the 675 lump which will be the beating heart of the new Speed Triple and Sprint and possible 1050 Daytona.

Sounds vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvery Good.

Other Motorcycle: The new Sprint GT?
Yes, my Dealer told me about the new Trophy as well. Apparently, it was a big topic @ the 2010 dealer meeting in GA.
I'm really interested in the BMW RT. Now, I'm holding off until I see this baby in person. I'm hoping it comes off as a simpler version of the RT, without all the complicated electronics. Triumph needs a bike like this.

Spy pics of the new bike are pretty bad, but nothing really exciting. Looks like a VFR with BMW bags. Oh boy. I hope Triumph continues to make a sport touring bike and not an overbored also ran.
