I would like to pitch in for my dealership, RPM Motorwerks in Belleville, Illinois. It's a very small, exclusively Triumph, family run shop and they are the epitome of excellent customer service. If you are within a days ride of St Louis, it would behoove you to take a trip to visit them. They really care about each and every one of their customers and they are truly knowledgeable of their one and only product - Triumph Motorcycles. I really can't say enough good things about Steve and his crew, but everyone close should stop in to see for themselves.

I'll second that one. Stopped by for something one time. Can't remember what it was, but I was thoroughly impressed with the interest they expressed in helping me.

TriRider,

Not sure of the distance from Springfield. The shop is located in Belleville Illinois, approx. 20 East of St Louis. Their site is rpmmotorwerksinc.com. Location info is there. If you plan a trip down, let me know. On the 3rd Saturday of each month they do a breakfast run, hang around the shop until 2 pm and then go do a Dinner run. The next one is this Saturday, 16 July.

I know it takes me two hours to get down there from Decatur, so it's probably a shade less than that from Springfield as you can jump right on I-55. I've talked with Steve twice about buying a Triumph and I would trust his shop, but it just boils down to fact that he's too far away. If I ever do buy a Triumph, he's going to be my support for it.

Jetpilot,

Methinks it's time for you to take a dip in the Triumph Pool. You won't regret it. 2 Hours isn't THAT far.......

Yeah, I just about pulled the trigger on a Sprint RS a couple of years ago when I was ready to trade my VFR. I still love the 955 motor. I think Steve runs a fine dealership, and as we all know, the dealer can make or break a smaller brand like Triumph. The guys here in Decatur are Triumph Dealers too, but as far as I know, have no parts inventory at all. Not even simple stuff like oil filters. Two hours is a long way to go to get an oil filter.

Tough call really. Is a person better off having a single Triumph dealer that they trust but is 120 miles away, or having five Honda dealers within an hour that have all the normal items you need and can get other parts in two days?

I have to agree with the poster.

I have owned... let's see, how many?... eleven streetbikes of varying brands...

RPM is hands down the best motorcycle dealership I have ever dealt with. They do nothing but Triumph, and everyone connected with the dealership knows their product line inside and out. They get my very highest praise, and all of my business from now on.

I can't get my bike serviced in St. Louis for about three weeks.

I'd be willing to truck it to Belleville if these guys are really good and can fit me in sooner.

If so, they may get a customer for life.

TIA
