I'm attending meetings this week in Houston, and thought I would get out one evening while I'm in town and check out the local Triumph Dealers; but saw only one dealer, in South Houston.

Is that correct?

I believe that is true... British USA. It's off of I-45 headed toward Galveston. I've only visited there once, but it is a great place. Their shop is split in half. One half sells and deals with Hinkley Triumphs, and the other sells restored '83 and earlier Triumphs as well as parts..
I've been meaning to visit there again, as I pass by that area from time to time, but just haven't. They are a very friendly and informative bunch though.

Shawn,
If you've already been here and done that then you can disregard the rest of this post.
Welcome to houston and yes, there is only one dealer in the Houston area. There was up untill recently another dealer out west of town, (Polaris cycles), but I would not waste my time there. How they're still in buisness is a mystery to most.
Brit U.S.A. is a nice shop with decent folk. Cliff Holland is the owner and good guy. The sales peole are nice as well. the mechanics are okay but have their moments, (as don't we all), and there's always a shop critter of some sort wandering around to say howdy.
Along with Triumph they sell BMW and Moto-Guzzi. Stop by some Thanksgiving when they have their bike show and Thanksgiving bash. Good fun, great bikes, good people.
Hope you enjoy your visit.
