Just got a mail from Triumph. They have a new incentive program:

I showed that to my youngest son who is thinking D675 as a self-graduation present when he finishes his MBA in May. Smart kid, or at least well-corrupted!

I bought my '09 America in March. Both the local dealers' websites said 5.9% OR $1000 accessories. The Triumph USA site said 5.9% AND $1000 accessories. The dealership honored it. Just make sure you check it all out cause it might even get better!!!

Doesn't apply to Thruxton? That may be the deciding factor between new and (slightly) used.

The Thruxton was not listed. I listed all the bikes that were in the email they sent me.

I was punching numbers today and I think I am going to wait it out another year. In March of 2011 (17 months from now) I get the second half of my Delaware Air National Guard signing bonus (roughly $7200 after taxes) and I think I'll just wait till then and waltz into the dealer and buy a new Thruxton with cash.
See you guys next March.

Yea or you could finance it now and then pay it all off in 2011. That way you get to enjoy it now!!

Of course, I can justify almost anything for instant gratification.

I've got a bike now. So no biggy on "missing" any riding. Just won't be quite as enjoyable on my old BMW as it will be on a new Thruxton.
