Hi, my name is Pawel, I come from Poland and for the last half a year I've been proud owner of Speedmaster. Proud, but hardly happy...
After not a month of riding my new bike I was hit by a car. Nothing happened to me, but the bike got it and ended up at the local dealer's. For the first month and a half it just stood there and I was waiting patiently. After that time though I started asking questions and what I've heard was "sorry, we have no parts".
After another month I started writing the management of the official Polish importer - Inter Motors and finally, after 3 months of waiting, I got my bike back, but not repaired - still some parts missing.
3 months of waiting for a bike to be repaired is not the only story I know about Inter Motors and their "efficiency". Apart from that, they don't really do anything, I mean ANYTHING to promote the brand - Triump is still quite exotic here in Poland thanks to their lack of effort. Whenever they run the "open days", it takes usually a whole weekend and anyone can come and ride any bike, but... nobody knows about it. They never advertise it or do it really poorly.
One of the indications of their lack of interesting in building Triumph position in Poland is the official webpage (triumph.net.pl) - only basic informations there, no accessories or apparel, but the most outrageous is their RAT page. Well, it contains nothing at all. The forum has been dead (literally) for a year or so - not because nobody wants to visit it, but because it's impossible to post anything on it.
I don't know if anyone from Hinckley reads this forum closely, but if you do, I'd really took a closer look at your Polish partner - Inter Motors (or Inter Cars, as IM is just a bike specializing branch of IC). Not only they don't work for the branch - they actually put a lot of effort to work against it.
And just to end this sad story ;o) Could you people found a RAT Poland forum here?..
