Any chance of a Daytona 1050?

I'd love to see a big version of the Daytona 675, Triumph have proved with the 675 they can mix it with the big boys so it would be good to see them take on the litre class.

The general consensus is that Triumph don't want to get into a development war with the Japanese big four as competing with the likes of Fireblades, R1s etc would be too expensive but I figure they're onto a winner no matter what they do. If the bike is a match for the jap litres then great, if it's not quite the razor edged track tool the big four are then they simply tailor it slightly more for the road. I loved the Daytona 955i and would definately pick up a new version. :

Here's hoping... :

I'd love to see one too. Always thought that the 955 was the perfect litre bike for 99.9% of the population. I think that if we were going to see one we would have seen spy photos or something. There is always hope!

I really like my Sprint ST, but I need MORE

My next bike will be a something like a ZX-10R or ZX-14

the new BMW is awesome on paper.

So, Triumph, time to step up! Keep me in the family

Daytona 1299 maybe.....

They have that its called a Sprint.

Lets face it the 1050 is simply a stroked GenII 955i. The 955i didn't really compete in the segment when it WAS marketed as an open class sportbike. So it isn't going to compete now.

I'd rather see Triumph come up with an answer to Ducati's Steet Fighter. But it is going to take a ground up revision of the Speed Triple that is still running a late 90s frame and engine architecture.

I want another fire-snorting British Hooligan. There are plenty of liters out there all ready.
