I spent hours messing around trying to get the ECU map to load onto Tuneecu programme. I kept getting timed out anything between 0 and 70 %. Made sure volts over 13, tried a different cable, reinstalling drivers, various port speeds and the final simple solution was to SWITCH OFF THE FIREWALLS, I had windows Firewall and my Anti virus had a Firewall. I switched these off temporarily and down it loaded no problem. Mine is a Tiger 955i 2004. Put the off road Tors map and it runs much better at low revs with much less surging. It remains economical with over 50 mpg on a run at reasonable speeds.
