On the Tiger 955i the R/R is on the left hand side (gear lever side) of the bike, behind the left-hand side cover left of the battery.
Are you sure your main fuse is okay? That is located under a small holder built into the battery holder -- not in the fuse box!

PS: No special tools needed to replace an OEM Rectifier. Don't fit another OEM SCR RR though, go for the later (and far more reliable) Shindengen Mosfet Shunt FH012AA regulator/rectifier (available via ebay or via Triumph/Yamaha/Kawasaki. The link cable with the correct connectors is now available from Triumph as a spare and is cheap in the US.
