It turned out great. I did it by unbolting the shock at both ends, unbolting the pan that is under the seat, and lifting the shock up through the opening between the pan and the frame. Then just slid the new one in. Hardest part was removing the metal bushing thing that the bottom shock bolt goes through. Turns out all it took to get it out was a ten inch long 3/8" extension and a few good blows with a four pound hammer.
