Brake Switch

My brother's '06 955 Tiger's brake light is not coming on when the brake pedal is depressed. Continuity test of the switch is good. Jumping the two pins results in the light coming on. Voltage test shows @12VDC in and 1.5VDC out when the pedal is depressed. Replace the switch or bleed the system first? Or?

Could be the switch is sticking-it happened fairly regularly on my Trophy 900. Try some WD40 on the switch plunger and work it up and down a few times

Same issue is happening to mine. I checked the switch to apply some WD40 and it looks to be totally encapsulated by rubber, so that I cant get the WD40 in there. Was it that way with your Trophy?

When I stand on my back brake I get a slight illumination, but not bright like I do with the front brake. Is there an adjustment that can be made to engage the light sooner?

If the switch tests out okay it sounds like a corroded terminal somewhere else or a bad bulb. If it's coming on but not brightly it sounds like corrosion, especially if the front brake lights it up. I just got WD40 in as best I could and worked the pedal
