Yellow lamp warning
Hello Guys,
I've bought a Triumph Tiger 2001 955i a month ago.
When the engine is running the yellow lamp is on, and the Tiger started to smell different from the exhaust - but nothing other strange from the engine. I have the error codes but don't know how to enter in service mode /if it is possible without the gadget described in manual/.
Is is possible to read the error code directly?

10x in advance

p.s. I'm from Bulgaria, and there is no service dealer for Triumph in the country ;(

Welcome Madman,

In short, you need to connect the service tool from Triumph. If you can't get it to a dealer, you can get a Tuneboy (Google it). This is a software interface system you install on your PC/Laptop to check fault codes and download custom tunes.

If the light stays on for more than three heat/cool cycles, you'll need to get it checked out somehow. If it goes out, then you could leave it until you get to a dealer.

I hear Bulgaria is lovely this time of year!

Mick

10x a lot Mick, I've downloaded the program and now I'm searching for a scheme of the interface cable.
The closest dealer of Triumph is in Athens /Greece/ which is 1200miles away .
The lamp continues to be turned on after 3 cycles heat/cool ;(
There is nothing written in manual about the scheme of the interface cable ;(

p.s.
Yes, it is a good place to ride

I might be wrong but I think the diagnostic plug is a standard type that you'll also find on cars. So you may be able to get the fault read at you local car mechanics.

I know sweet F-all about these things, but could this be a O2 sensor problem?

10x a lot guys!!!!
I've followed advice given me by Blacktiger /You have a beer from me/ and the problem is solved by a car technician for 10 seconds with a laptop and cable.
He cleared the errors and I have no problem any more!

10x again guys!
