Took tango into town today to get new bulbs, Philips, and another headlight relay.
The relay was to replace the wire loop I had in instead of.
The bulbs are to replace the ones I've been using, kept blowing.
Stopped off at my mates on the way home, for a coffee and a blether.
Got on the bike and started it up to leave, bike started fine, but I thought, mmm, did I hit the starter button.
So I switched the bike off turned the ignition on again, pulled in the clutch lever, no starter switch, and the bike started, doo doo doo doo spooky. Swithed it off and it done the same again.
Must be sticky/dicky switch me thinks, so stripped the swithgear down, nothing amiss, nice and clean, but gave all the contacts a clean with electrical cleaner and a cotton bud. put it back together.
Ahh, I hear you say it must've been the switch, probably the most likely culprit, but when I got home I went in for my tea, went back out to the garage an hour later, switched on the ignition, pulled in the clutch lever,,,,nothing, hit the starter switch and it fired up, this was before I stripped the switch gear.
As for the lights, well that's another story, lets hope the Philips ones last a bit longer than the ones I've been using, good as they were, lumination wise.
I HATE ELECTRICS.
I did manage to wire in the heated grips to the spare auxiliary lead,
instead of directly to the battery, which was a bonus, no chance of them being left on now.
