Silent exhaust for 2005 Tiger

Hello!

There's lots of threads about racing cans, but I'm interested in silent one...
Is there anything quieter than original Triumph can?

Best regards,
Lisciasty

Never heard of anyone wanting quieter than standard & doubt if there would be much of a market for such a product. I always thought the stock can was nicely subdued, why do you want it quieter?

He's probably a burgler and wants a quiet escape.

Guess you could take out the triple and bolt in a Westinghouse 4kw electric motor and batteries to run it. That should be quieter than stock.

I've bought my Tiger from German guy and I don't know if he doesn't mess something
with exhaust. It's really annoying, it's just loud and without any bass, just like an empty pipe.
I like quiet exhaust just like I had on my honda xx, that I owned before Tiger.
It was excellent for avoiding policemen, while with other motos they hear you 1 km before,
I usually surprised them and they have no time to manage to raise hand-radar hie hie
Also for long trips (800 km/day and more) silent exhaust is good to have...
If I want to make noise around, I'd buy a harley A Tiger I have for long tourism.

Regards,
Lisciasty

I doubt you will find a quieter can than the Triumph original. I would guess part of the problem is the Triple engine. It's renowned for it's throaty sound.

Sounds like you suspect that the original can has been modifed. Like you I like to travel quietly as you don't draw attention to what you are doing and I still have the standard exhaust on the bike. The Standard Can as I said earlier is about as quiet as they come. If you give it a good handful of throttle it rips a bit but generally it is fairly unobtrusive. Stealth motorcycles is what we want, might fit some mirrors on the front to deflect the lasers.

Noisy Tiger?

On an even throttle, I reckon the 955 makes more mechanical noise than comes out of the exhaust.

I removed exhaust ending and pipe looks like this:

Are those 3 holes normal, or it's my German friend's "invention"?
