I dont remember any holes when I took my exhaust cap of to have a look on my 06.

Hi those holes are an optional extra (ie your black and decker)

Those 3 holes are not factory ! I know cause I tried the same mod on a stock can sounded lousey......Plugged them back up and the stock sound or rather lack of returned.

So it is a reason of annoying noise

Have you noticed any power/flexibility improvement after drilling those holes?

How have you plugged them back? With screws or welder?
