I wonder if anyone could shed some light on a little problem I'm having.

When I set my scotoiler to prime the oil comes free flowing out no problem. However, when I set the oiler to a more reasonable rate no oil comes out at all.

I have tried setting it to MAX (Just less than prime) but still no oil.

It has been working before after the dealer fitted it for me, but just seems to have stopped working

Any help much appreciated :???:

pull the little black pipe of the top and see if the bike's idle speed changes. stick a bit of you on the end and feel if there is any suction as you rev the bike up.
if you have suction then it may be a split diapham in the oiler.

Another possible problem is that the vacuum pipe has got squished, finding that can be a bit more of a hassle cos it involves a bit of dismantling to see if the pipe is free under the tank if nothing is obvious further back.

I had a similar problem and it was the vacuum pipe had pulled out of the T peice at the take off point. Some idiot (me) had pulled it out while cleaning the bike. Had to pull the tank off and a little silastic applied carefully so not to block the tube and to glue it in place and a judiciously applied cable tie fixed this permanently.

If the diaphram is split you'll get the oil sucked out of the reservoir into the engine and lots of bubbles in the reservoir and the engine will smoke a lot.
Mine did this after a tumble (broken collar bone etc.) I thought the engine was phuqed. What a relief to discover the Scottoiler was to blame.

Well the scotoiler isnt bubbling and the exhaust isn't smoking so thats okay then

Cant get a peice of me on the end of the pipe. Scared to pull the vacuum pipe out of the RMV in case I break it and I cant see how you get the tank off to trace the vacuum pipe.

Need to get the tank off really. (Do I??????)
