Tires for a 2006

Tried to roll my Tiger out and found a nail in the rear through the tread. Tire is flat and needs to be replaced. Replaced for several reasons including it has about 1000 miles left on front and rear.

Since I was now running late I left home without writing down the specs of the tires, size, make and model. I do not have my owner manual with me, so I am asking. Does anyone have the size of the front / rear tires and what tires were installed stock?

This is what I have found on the internet. I would like confirmation.
Tyres: Front: 120/80 – V19 tubeless. Rear: 150/70 - V17 tubeless

I would like to go with something a little stickier as I do the vast majority of my riding while commuting.

I like the Pilot Roads. More street biased.

Dunlop

I used Dunlop D607 and was surprised how cornering has improved.

Let me guess, you need some soft compound tires for that curvy ride to RTP, right?
I don't miss that commute.
I've been really impressed with the performance of the Metzeler Tourance EXP. They have sharper turn in and better grip compared to the others. Mileage wasn't great due to their softer compound, but everything's a comprimise. You'd be hard pressed to find their limits anywhere near Raleigh.

Cool

There are lots of curves on the way to RTP, if you take about a 50 mile route, past Sheron Harris, Pittsboro and over Lake Jordan.

Uh huh. Let's just say I don't miss living there. At all. Now I can leave the house and ride 400 miles of twisty two lane roads with no traffic.

tires

Pirelli scorpion syncs...just a fantastic tire for my riding style. They flat stick to the road. Have not had them much off road beyond gravel and a few goat paths…but they seem to work well. I love the way my Tiger carves up the road with them.

Question What is the blue axle grease

Pulling the tires off the Tiger to mount Pirelli scorpion syncs, I noticed there is blue axle grease. What type of grease is this?

Thumbs up Grease spec.

It's probably 'Corrosion Block' multi purpose EP high performance grease. I use it on my Elise between steel and aluminium because it stops intra-metal reaction and it works well on bikes for the same reason. It's made in America and their web site is WWW.learchem.com It's great stuff!
All the best
