On the other question, the trip shouldn't reset to zero when you switch off the ignition, just when you press the reset button.
Hi skidpan,

The clock issue was put on by someone else. I was hoping to find out why my trip meter was resetting when the ignition is turned off. I have a Haynes manual but I haven't got the knowledge to find out whether the trip shares a fuse with what. I don't have much idea about the leccy stuff, leave that to my much more qualified mates.

The trip meter shares a 10amp fuse with the clock and heated grips, at least on my 03 tiger. Standing on the left side of the bike looking down on the fuse box it's about halfway down on the right side.

Hi AVM,

The clock and heated grips work fine which is why I don't suspect the problem is a fuse (probably wrong). I've been in contact with my local dealer (Team Roberts at Denaby S/Yorks) and they say it sounds like a faulty module and would only be sorted with a new speedo. circa £178.00 plus vat.
