Fuel lines

I've had my 04 Tiger apart for a couple of weeks to do some annual maintenance. I think I put the fuel lines back on the tank correct, but know I'm second guessing myself. On my 04 there is one red male connector and one just metal male connector. I have the red one on the bottom quick connect and the other on the top. Anyone have a simple way of telling which connector goes to which?

on my 02 the red is at the bottom but I would,nt be able to switch mine the wrong way as the fuel lines are really tight if I tried. hopefully yours is the same.

On my 01 the thicker shorter fuel line goes on the bottom.

I don't think it actually matters from a functionality point of view but as others have said it's easier to fit them one way or the other (as it happens mine fits best with the red one at the top). It's worth spending some time fiddling around with all the pipes and cables down there to get a nice untangled fit.
