Panniers

Can't help you with where but don't restrict yourself to looking for those advertised for a 2003. My understanding is that they are the same across 2001 to 2006 ( U.S.) model years. I bought mine right here on this site for a very reasonable price compared to the dealer list. They do show up on eBay from time to time........ you have to be both patient and persistent.

Thanks

Thanks, very helpful! I will keep on looking then. I`ve heard the origanals are not as solid and waterproof as a good Givi´s though. Know anything about that?

Panniers

Unfortunately I don't know yet. I bought them in December and without snow tires or all wheel drive for the Tiger it remains tucked away in my barn. Last year I rode in every month except March. This year it has been below O (as in -10 to -25 since November) so they are not even on the bike yet. Judging by the pictures I see in many of the posts on this subject , many of our fellow riders are making full use of the off road capabilities of the Tiger and have reason to worry about the waterproofing. I am strictly a pavement guy and try not to ride too much in the rain. I did buy a set of inner bag liners which look like they will be more than capable of handling some errant moisture. Bought those at the dealer where they are available at a sane price.

I believe the originals are assembled by the dealer that fits them so how well they're sealed depends on how good that dealer was. In my experience not very.....

If you search here you'll find several threads about making them waterproof.
