Hi,
I'm new here, from sunny Tucson with a '97 Tiger. Does anyone know if the sprag clutch weakness exists in all steamers? Was there a mechanical upgrade done prior to 97 that reduces the liklihood of failure? Thanks for the help!

I am new to the Tiger, also, but from what I have gleaned:

Yes it can happen in all Hickley Triple engines.

Yes there was an upgrade that made sprag failure less likely after 1996.
