Torx sizes

I know this subject has been done, but not specifically in the Tiger forum it seems. I was after the required sizes for the Tiger and had to search through a lot of threads to get SOME of the info.
What I've come up with so far that I need for my bike are:
T-25
T-30
T-40
T-55
I'm no mechanic, so I'm after the sizes to tighten bits that I can get at on the bike.
Have I missed any crucial ones!

Don't know about "down under", but on this side of the world, it is cheaper to buy a socket set with a wide range of sizes--mine has from T-10 to T-60. I haven't kept track of which ones I have used. I would also suggest one purchase a socket set of metric allen wrenches...I believe I have used them more than the Torx wrenches...my handiest tool thus far is a T-handle allen wrench in size 5mm. It makes taking off the fairing panels on the 1050 much easier and faster, with less possibility of dropping the wrench on the painted parts.

I found lots of the fasteners on the Tiger to be very rust-prone, even in Arizona!. I also found it unusual that they used such a mix of phillips, torx, and allen. When I first rebuilt the Tiger, I replaced lots of the torx with SS allen, Some of the really big torx are still there - engine mounts, etc., but most of the little phillips - handlebar stuff - and most of the small torx - cowling and body and trim - are now stainless steel allen. This means I only need a set of allen keys in my toolbag and everything stays shiny and brite! Also, every fastener is installed with Loctite.
Anybody want a bag of rustry torx fasteners, let me know.....

Zadok-
If you think the bag of rusty torx is the great idea, I would love to deliver it and visit some great friends from Perth and York! I was down there in 2004 and really want to go back. It was actually in WA where I first saw a Tiger and fell in love with it. I was lucky enough to get one when I got back and now I know that riding a Tiger in WA is on my list of 1000 things to do before I die! I've thought about the Postie Bike Challenge, too.......

The great idea was about replacing the torx bolts. If you come over for a visit, please let me know. It would be great to meet you and perhaps go for a ride.

Well, it's going to happen! I just got back confirmation that the Postie Bike Challenge got my deposit! It's September in Oz, the first part in QLD and then after the Challenge we're going to WA to visit friends and to show my wife one of my favorite places on the planet! I'm more than excited!

Let me know when you are in W.A. I am riding over to Melbourne late Sept for the motoGP at Philip Island, otherwise I'll be here.
