gear vibration????

hey guys, i just turned 40,000mls on my 1995 and am noticeing a vibration coming from my tranny area. mostly at lower speeds in lower gears, but i also feel it in right hand corners. the bike absolutly needs a chain and sprocket(front and back). but when i pull in the clutch it seems to smooth out. the clutch feels good though. its almost like when you take off in too low a gear and it lugs a bit. any ideas?. my neighbor is a mechanic and doesnt seem to think its anything, maybe im just too worried. i have only owned the bike a short time now(im the 4th owner) and im still getting used to it. thanks

there's a bit of clutch whine/rattle on my 955 when in neutral. Pull in the clutch and it goes away, and always has done.

Worn chain and sprockets will certainly add to the geenral noise/vibration generation, turning right with sideways slack in the chain might make it not run front to back quite true ? I'm guessing here.

I'd certainly replace it if it is that worn, it's like a square off tyre, you try and get your last few pennies worth and when you replace them you ask yourself why you didn't do it sooner.

Luggin in too low a gear, do you mean too high a gear and low revs ? They all do that...
