:???: I have a 05 Tiger with heated hand grips. Maybe a dumb question but can anyone tell me if the rocker switch for the heaters is supposed to have a light to indicate when they are turned on?

Cheers

We are still waiting on the definitive experiment as to whether up or down is hotter. I can never tell.

I think up is hotter, but I could have sworn the instructions said the opposite.

Still not convinced. I am thinking of taking an infrared temp sensor home from work. The protocol would be:

1) Mark a spot or two on each grip
2) Let the bike sit overnight
3) Note the ambient temperature in the garage
4) Take pre-test measurements at each spot
5) Fire the grips up on the tested setting (one day would be down, the next day up)
6) Take test measurement every two minutes for sixteen minutes, giving me 9 measurements a spot for each temperature
7) Compare the temperature curves for each setting to see which is hotter.

Hardly seems worth it, I think I will just keep riding.

Up is hotter than down on mine, too. When I enquired about this, someone said that the logo on the switch denotes the higher setting, which made sense. Back when the weather was warmer it was hard to tell the difference, but once it cooled down to single figure celcius, the difference on mine is quite marked.
