Hi Malc,

Just do a search on this site and look for 'valve'. It will return a design for the tool, plus a valve adjustment worksheet.

Haven't done it myself, but when the warranty runs out I'll give it a go.

Good luck, and let us know how it works out!

Sorry Malc, searching using only 'valve' just returns the worksheet. Search using 'valve tool'.

Just go to 'Downloads' and 'Technical Aids & Information'

Cheers again!

When I search, I get squat, nada. It's my lack of understanding the search engine here. I've never been able to get it to return anything useful. Any hints?

A while back I posted some drawings of the tool. PM me for a copy. Note that I got the dimensions from several other people and don't know for sure if they're spot on. You can construct and make slight mods as required. Any chance you could make two?

Hey Guydan,

Did that spray paint template of the valve tool help at all?

Yeah, a little bit. I was able to confirm some of the hole spacings. I haven't built the tool yet to really verify all the dimensions...

Jack Lilley have a picture of the genuine Triumph tool on their website here, and the Haynes Manual has illustrated instructions for how to carry out the task.

As I posted after I did the 24000 service on mine, I'd go about checking the clearances before you go to the trouble of manufacturing the tool. My Tiger is over 27000 miles and the valves are all still in spec from new. Could buy yourself a bit more time in which to manufacture it
