Hello,

I'm wanting to fit a fuel tap inline so that I can draw off fuel when I need it without having to syphen, any ideas??

I was thinking along the lines of a "T" piece with a tap on it somehow.

If anyone can suggest something i'd reallt appreciate it.

Thank you,

rdm

And if its easy to get too its like putting up a sign. I'm free, drain me and see. Is it really a wise idea?
Or do you need a ready supply for your average molotov.(you must live in slough!)

Hello,

Point taken, but if I tuck it away (even under the seat maybe) I still wouldn't mind one in.

Also if anyone knows the inner diameter of the pipe.

Cheers anyway,

you can syphen fuel off without sucking on the pipe and gettin a mouthfull of fuel !! if you put the pipe into the tank and well below the level, wrap a clean duster around the pipe and the tank filler hole making shure there`s no spaces. get a can ready and if you blow into the pipe to build up a little pressure while holding the duster and pipe tight into the tank, stop blowing and quickly put the pipe into the can and it should flow itself, while its doing this remove the duster, when you want it to stop pull the pipe out of the tank. ( you need to be below the tank for this to work )

hope this makes sense !!

if you have an airsupply its even easier !! you will need an extra peice of pipe, it only needs to be a short peice, add the short peice to the above, in the tank ( just in the tank ) put the long pipe into the can, put the air supply to the short pipe, hold them tight and apply air till the fuel starts coming out the long pipe. while its flowing remove the duster and short pipe. all you`re doing is putting pressure into the tank and the fuel has to come out. !!! Warning !!! it is NOT recommended to smoke while doing this

Thanks mate that sounds like a good idea, in effect it's like blowing into drinks carton with a straw (try it it's a laugh).

So just a length of pipe then.

Cheers.

Because the Tiger is fuel injected (presume you have a 955) will the line not be pressurised

How about putting a 5/16" "T"" in one of the tank balance hoses with a length of hose leading to a ball valve. As someone who's started many a camp fire with a gasoline soaked rag, I can see where that might be real handy.
