us old farts also swear by electric jackets, and maybe gloves. Its a revelation. If your bike has only done 5-6K then its due for its first service and it maybe worth talking to a dealer about it. I agree with the rest that a bit of thrash is called for.
Show no mercy.. :-D

Do you do realise unleaded fuel goes rotten!!,it'll go off in a matter of weeks,if a bike been standing for a while,i wouldn't draw any conclusion's untill you've put fresh fuel in it and given it a pasteing.

What is the average age for a Tiger Rider?

Maybe I will add that as a separate post

clive955 : Thanks I will PM shortly. Just out of interest what is the Daytona 955i like?

hmmm :hammer: I should have done yes

Not quite sure what happened last year but after looking at the service booklet I realized it should have been done last year, problem now is money or a sever lack of it after having to get some work done on the car.

A mate who has an 51 Tiger said that it was not that necessary to get it serviced as I have done the oil and if I can get some friendly Triumph rider such as Clive955 to help with plugs then it should be fine, I suppose the response there would be it depends on whether I am planning to sell it as it would affect the value not sure what to do ????????

Thanks winger I was aware of fuel going off side of things. It was almost completely empty over the winter and I added a can of fresh in February time and since used have filled to the brim with super unleaded and done about 140 miles in 2 days, I presume that would have flushed out the older fuel? or does it require more?

Tappers,

No problem, only too happy to help, just give me a PM, as for the Daytona goes like***** off a shovel but in this weather is bloody scary and to be honest I'm getting a little old for it and more importantly love my Tiger too much to ride it that much.

Agree with you old Petrol can cause alsorts of problems. Some new petrol as well.

Was interesting that Octane Magazine found the best standard Unleaded petrol was from Tesco's, best power on dyno and also best subjective driving. Beat all the posh stuff from Shell and BP
