My trip odometer on my Lucifer 05 Tiger resets to 0 mileage
when the bike is turned off. I stopped for fuel had 125 miles
on the trip odometer and it reset itself to 0 mileage without touching what I thought should be a reset button.

It does this consistently, is this normal?

Tks in advance,

Dirtdog

Thats not normal i've always used mine it does not reset untill I press to reset. Check in your manual I wouldn't have thought it was different to the 03 model? Let us know the solution. good luck.

Thanks for the replies. The manual shows it shouldn't reset until you push the button to clear it out. It's no big deal but
if I can't find the solution I'll bring it up at the 6K service.
I just hit the 1.7K so I got a ways to go. I never would have
a thought a fuse would have anything to do with it.

What an great bike, couldn't be happier with the Tiger.

It is likely to be a fuse. If you disconnect the battery, it also resets (at least mine did). This suggests it resets if power is cut off ?

As I said just check your fuses one IS blown there are two feeds to the odometer one pwers it when the ignition is on and one unswitched feed to save the memory.
I've had the same thing myself a year or so back so get off the pc and check your fuses.

I've got an 05 that had the same problem over the summer. I got the bike in late May, it worked fine till about early August, then quit for a couple months. Started working again in early October, and I never lost the clock. I'm used to riding a Guzzi, so I just figured it was one of those things....
