Anyone fitted a cruise knob on their Tiger, and what kind did they use? I notice Triumph doesn't offer one, as an accessory. It usually takes me two hands to light a smoke on this bike (one to cup the lighter from the wind, the other to flick my bic), so a cruise knob would be handy.

Wow... That's about the most ultimate poor-boy solution I have ever seen. I have a bag of O-rings, out in the garage; I'm sure one will fit. They're black, and aren't going to be as classy as your CAT-yellow one, but I can always just sort of cover it up with my hand, when I pull up at a stoplight. That'll get me by, until I can find a supplier with red or blue ones... Maybe silver... I don't know; you think the O-ring should match the bike, or stand out on it's own, like yours does?

In any event, that's a simple, brilliant accessory. I don't know why nobody I know ever thought of that, before. It's cheap, unobtrusive, and it works. One to put into practice, and remember for the future.

I don't think there's any doubt about where the cruise knob is on your Tiger. :-D Added benefit is when you park up the bike at the end of a ride you can take the o-ring with you and put it on your own knob, then you can go all night hands free which means you can still light up with both hands :-D :-D

After always buying throttlemeisters for all my bikes, on the tigger, I decided on the cheap vista cruise universal model. Cheap yet very effective. Not as cheap as the o-ring at about $35, but yellow doesn't go well with silver anyway!

I found a black one in my "box of old bits which I can't bear to throw away as they may come in useful sometime" which fits perfectly and is beautifully colour co-ordinated with my black 2004. I think it may have been a kickstart shaft ring from a Commando. Never seen a silver O ring though

My black O-ring gave up the ghost. I guess it was old, and it finally split. I found it on the garage floor, after a couple of days of thinking one of the kids must have taken it. I really liked this O-ring, as it was a little larger and thicker than the Cat ones. I searched every parts store in Tulsa, looking for another one. No luck; they were all smaller, or larger, or thinner.

Woe is me. But my oldest happened to be at the Cat dealer the other day, and picked up two nice, new yellow ones. I keep one on each handlebar, which insures I have a spare, and keeps my bike properly balanced.
