Source for electrical connectors

Don't know about you, but I've found it very difficult to get hold of motorcycle type electrical connectors as used on our Triumphs.

I was pointed at this site when I was looking for some special connectors for my Land Rover Discovery, and found that he seems to supply all sorts of multi-way plugs & sockets. The shipping charges are a bit high for small quantities, but worth it to get the right bits.

Ironically, just after I'd ordered my Landy connectors, I worked out an alternative solution - but now I have the bits on the shelf.

I absolutely endorse the Eastern Beaver reference as a fabulous source of connectors that are used on a number of Motrocycle marques - including Triumph!

However ....

$5 - from Japan - you consider high?

Try buying just about anything from EBay with a lower shipping charge.

Jim at Eastern Beaver is a stand-up guy and charges actual shipping rates on top of really good prices for his products, many of which are almost impossible to find elsewhere - he actually went out of his way to source some special connectors for me for the Shindengen Rectifier/Regulator mod.

Definitely a great site to put on anyone's BookMark list if you own a motorcycle.

Hi Kenny,

I use VWP a lot for cable etc but they don't do the bike-specific connectors. They're excellent for everything else.

It is when all you want is a couple of spade connectors - Jim does say he doesn't like small orders so charges 200% of item cost for less than $5 -

"I have therefor set the shipping charges for orders under $5 to ridiculously high rates"

But I do take your point.

You can't really blame him there, I honestly believe that is not unreasonable.

Best thing in that regard is to just order something else that will come in useful at some point - the Metri-Pack Fuse holders, or Panasonic 20A Relays are great items to have on-hand.
And it always makes sense when ordering any connectors to get additional terminals with it, for that crimp that may not go right.

They are indeed and fine for connecting single cables. But VWP don't have those complicated multi-way connectors like for our fuel tanks. They do have multi-way connectors but they're a different type.
