955i 2005 cast wheels.

I have a broken "plastic" throttle adjuster (twist grip end). Any solution other than a new cable?
Not keen on removing the tank is why I ask.

Your suggestions welcome.

You'll need to replace the cable, but removing the tank isn't as big an issue as you think. You don't need to remove the fairing, just the seat, battery and the tank. You may even be able to get away with just lifting it a bit, but don't be afraid of it.

Take your time, even take photos as you go so you can check your work in reverse when you put it back together.

My problem with the removal of the tank stems back to when I fitted an Oxygen eliminator earlier this year. It seems that every time I need to remove flexible fuel lines etc on a vehicle they are secured by a different type of "clip". I could not easily release those on the Tiger and resorted to lifting the tank and managed that way. Was not particularly happy with that method, but it worked. (by the way slow filtering is greatly improved without any obvious problems). I would prefer to remove the tank when replacing the throttle cable, how do the clips release?

I must say that stupid little plastic adjuster is one of the few Tiger parts which are really poorly designed. For the sake of a few pence they could have put a proper metal one on. Mine is always slackening off and giving too much free play.

You're welcome. Last time I looked at mine, there were no male/female quick fits, just a hose clamped on to the side of the fuel pump housing and a couple of wires. Mine is also a cast wheel job, but I haven't a photo to show you.

If you still have the quick fits, you need to push the small button kind of thing on the side, this releases the male section. Beware putting them back, that you don't chew out the o-ring.

Manual time methinks...
