New Spark Plug Setting

Ok Peeps..

Have a new set of NGK IRIDIUM spark plugs - what distance should i set the electrode thingywhatsit too???

Have looked in my Manual - but can not see anything

Try this link to NGK www.ngksparkplugs.com
they give the gap settings as 35 Thou You can search by bike make model etc.

Reckon if you bought them as for the Tiger the gap should be set ok already??

Not necessarily, the plugs are usually suitable for a number of different engines, requiring slightly different firing characteristics. The gap must be checked and if not correct, reset before you install the plugs.

Thats what NGK says on thier site, and using the table of applications 2001-2004 955 tiger is 35 thou (0.89 mm)
with Iridium Plugs

found the link useful, 0.9 (or or 0.89) it is.

Thanks guys - also picked up my k&N filter today - this is going to be a big service, new chain, sprockets the works - hope i get to ride here before the weather turns nasty

The Site expalins it in plain english, there's also different settings for upgraded ignition systems. And the table is available for most things with a spark plug. Add it to your favourites!
