Went to Harbor Freight, bought a hydraulic lift...

I got home and realized that the whole bottom of the Tiger is exhaust. How the hell do you get it to sit on a lift and work on it?

Haven't done anything that couldn't be done from the centerstand.....including entire motor removal and install on my sprint...

However I have seen pics of ratcheting tie straps from ceiling joists used to hold the beast up.

Sounds like a jack to me--I bought a Sears jack and used it once on my Bonneville. The jacks are too unstable for me to work on a bike while on the jack.

I bought a bike lift that you roll the bike onto and it raises the bike about 35" in the air--the bike is still sitting on its tires. There are lifts with removable rear sections for removing wheels. Harbor Freight sells a couple of lifts--one foot operated and the other air operated. Mine is air operated. I guess I'm fortunate because my business is auto repair and I use my 2 post auto lift to get the Tiger off the ground when needed. To get the rear up I just put 2 of the lift pads under pass. peg mounts (06 model). Getting the front up is a little trickier......remove the upper torx engine mount bolts and replace them with some GOOD bolts about 6-8 inches long and put lift pads under these bolts and lift. Have had the whole bike off the gound about waist high using this method. Of course I realize not everyone can justify the space or $$$$ for a 2 post automotive lift.

you can use paddock stands. The bars go under the swing arm and lift the whole back of the bike. Can get one to lift the front as well. The shop up in Fort McMurray used it to replace my drive chain. My son uses one to lift his Street Triple R up to lube the drive chain as well cost about $50.00 can. for it. They seem to be the in thing around as most carry them now a days.

You could also do a search for the Triumph offers pdf,if thy`re still on. I bought a center stand for my 885 for £14 - 955 ones were £60 odd .

I've been wondering the same thing-- how to lift it up so you can work on a tire?

They look a little skinny and unstable but with a security strap or other tie-off it might be ok. Or weld on some braces or new foot pad extension. I dunno... just thinking/asking about.
