Angry No electrics...

Just fitted a set of Touratech crashbars to me 06MY 955 Tiger. Put the key in the ignition, turned it on, not a sausage, no warning lights, no relay clicks. Put a bulb on a wire across the battery terminals and it's good and strong so I suspect in removing the 4 top engine mount bolts to fit the bars I've lost an earth somewhere(?). I've looked everywhere but can't see any likely suspects. All fuses in the box are good. Any suggestions guys?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Badly routed fuse wire and battery cable made it really akward to get that big fuse out and....it's fine, so still no further forward. Looks like this weekends camping trip might be up the swanny
Any more suggestions much appreciated

The only suggestion I can think of is to work back through all your steps.

Also, it's worth putting a multi meter across the battery, a small 12 volt test light will work fine on an all but really dead battery, but when you load it up with the headlights, fuel pump and ECU it may be dead enough to not make any sign of starting.

Check all the other relays etc and recheck anything that you may have had to undo in the process.

Rest assured, it will be simple, and you'll kick yourself when you see what it is...

Mick

Spot on Miker :
Last night I called the AA and after a few quick checks he diagnosed a dead battery. the bike would start on his booster pack but the instant it was disconnected the bike died.
Picked up a new battery today. So weather permitting (heavy rain / thunder rolling through here tonight) we're riding tomorrow.
