Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on the growing debate about higher levels of ethanol in fuel causing corrosion to metal components and damaging plastics and rubber?
IMO, I won't use it in any of my bikes, or my old Jeep. It makes them all ping and it's not readily available enough to warrant re-tuning them to accept the Ethanol blends.
Thanks for the links. They were quite useful. The current edition of Australian Road Rider magazine has a fair spread on the use of ethanol in fuel and is very critical of high content and the damage it will do to components. They state that some of the Japanese M/C manufacturers will void warranty on bikes that are damaged by the use of ethanol. Does the same apply to Triumphs? :???:
