Is this a record?
Had new discs fitted to my 05 (5000 miles) under warrenty and they were fine for 500 miles and 5 days. then they started to go off again and when I measure them they are worse than the old ones! So its another 250 miles to the dealer twice - once so he can see whats wrong and another to fix what ever needs fixing. rang Triumph and they said there was no basic problem with the discs - I think the design is not good - they are like a floating one with out being able to float. Most fixed ones seem to have more substance to them around the mounting points. Could also be the wheel thats out or maybe they are made of cheese.

I read that EBC are making floating ones - can this be confirmed? I see they do for 955 up to 04. Comments appreciated. Brilliant bike otherwise!

EBC do indeed do a floating disc conversion for the spoked wheel Tiger, www.triumphtiger-online.co.uk can supply them, might be a better long term option.

But the 05 Tiger doesn't have spoked wheels.
I have just had my discs replaced (2005 Tiger) at the 6000 mile service, they have been warped virtually from new but have got progressively worse.Maybe it was a bad batch of discs ? My dealer has said this is a common problem on new Tigers.Let's hope it doesn't occur after warranty or it could get expensive. This is the first problem I've had having owned 5 Hinckleys so fingers crossed.

I just had the Triumph mechanic ride my bike and confirm that the replacement disks with a whopping 750 miles on them are *****. He will call Triumph and see what they have to say and they will probably want the micrometer numbers before any action.
My Guzzi has 107K and the original Brembo disks work fine. My Triumph has 8K and is needing a third set. What a testimony to the new improved Triumph! Do I just wait out the warranty and dig in my pocket to replace one of the most important components to safe riding?

I had a 2003 Tiger that had a warping disc problem, they were all changed on warranty 3 times before it was sorted. However i thought i would leave it behind (just in case), and bought new 2006 Tiger thinking all would be fine, only to find that this one has a clanking/knocking coming from the front forks, Triumph ain't bothered about sorting this problem. This is my last Triumph, best of luck for the new one.

Guys - I assume when you talk about warranty you're talking about the bike, not the disks. I had both my front disks swapped last summer due to fairly bad warping. Now probably ~3k miles later they're going again - not really bad but noticeable at slow speeds. My question is - is there any warranty on the disks themselves, such that we can actually get them replaced without the bike being under warranty?

My warped discks weren't. It turned out to be the wheel which was out of wack. Triumph replaced the wheel and discs.

Voila, problem solved
