I know, I know. Towing your Tiger Suks, but I gotta get to the good roads quick!

I have a bike pro chock, that basically holds the bike up - but am not sure where to tie down the front end.

I usually put soft wraps around the forks - but with the gaiters there, I decided to use my crash guards instead.

I don't want to screw up the gaiters, but don't want the bike to flip out [again ]

Please share your thoughts. Thanks.

I'm not sure what the problem is - are you worried that compressing the forks will permanently distort the gaiters (unlikely) or are you considering attaching tie-downs to the fork where the gaiter fits (inadvisable IMO).

When I used to use a trailer regularly for my trials Enfield I attached the straps to the handlebars. I think you could do the same with the Tiger, but you may need some soft padding.

I've never used the fork legs to secure a bike on a trailer myself, I've tended to use the handlebars as the front anchor points (as Ian mentions); but I'm not sure of the configuration of your trailer so it may be the only option?

If so, you can easily loosen the screw on the jubilee clip which secures the bottom of the gaiter to the fork stanchion, and slide it up a couple of inches.

I don't think it sounds like the best option if there's any other way to secure the bike at all; depending on the way you tied it down it could put undue stress on the fork components in a way they weren't designed for :???:

Try these - Tie downs

I have something similar, needed to get both my car & bike to Brittany a couple of years ago, worked a treat.

Good luck
