Hi All,

My first post! Absolutely loads of content here and it would take me years to go through it all! Sorry if someone has covered this before. Basically, I have test ridden a Tiger and love it. About to go and take the plunge, but after having problems with my D600 and looking at the problems cropping up here, I just wanted to know whether these problems are a small percentage of owners or common to all owners? The bike is an 02 plate, 9000 miles. Anything I should look out for on this model?

I have an '02 with 26k miles on it... Only problem I've had is the Cooling System Pressure Cap... Bike just keeps giving me a Grin every time I ride...

welcome, bear in mind that any web board will HIGHLIGHt any small problem but you need to balance that against the thousands that dont have the problem.

The Tiger is generally bombproof. I think I had the exception to the rule with my first 03. However bear in mind that the engine is a very softly tuned version of the one in the 955 Daytona and you will see she is pretty stress free.

There are very few big issues with the bike.

I would check she has been dealer serviced and especially the valve checks have been done at the right time, other than that, enjoy!

I bought one at 18k crossing my fingers that the odd rogeu you hear about was just that.

Have put on about 2k since so this is now a 20k bike. The thing feels as good as new and totally indestructible.

The frame's obviously hand carved from a solid peice of metal, the engine sourced from a Callenger 2 tank.

Tools I've used to date - can of WD40, chain lube.

Well, I've taken the plunge and have got my fingers crossed that I don't have the same problems as I presently have with my D600. Pick it up in a few weeks time.

I bought mine a few weeks ago, and I tell ya, it is one hell of a ride.! It is a runner! Take it easy on the starts for a while, because you can put the front end up really easy. I have been off road too, and it handles the harder gravel roads well. Stay away from the deep gravel though, cause it tends to get squirrely in soft stuff. The shocks can handle most rocks and such, so go ahead and hit em, just keep your speed up a bit so you dont tip. Great bike choice...good luck, you wont need luck though..lol -Mike
