the front brakes on my 05 tiger are pulsing and real shaky on stops, I guess the rotors are bad, but with only 4000 miles??
Anyone had similar problems and what is the fix?
Also, the left side (shifter side) of the oil pan seems to be leaking a bit....anyone experience that too?
Thanks

Yip, third set for me, originals lasted 6000 miles, replacements another 6000 miles. Do you see a pattern starting to form here. Although next time I'm out of warranty and might not be so happy.

Check your water pump and the screws for it. There are two M6 screws and threads are only 5-6 mm long in aluminum. It can easily be removed with houses on. There is a O-ring inside for sealing oil inside and the hole in is about an inch wide. you don“t have to open the water pump.
I had to fix mine threads, one screw where loose and threads where gone. Mine did not leak but I think it could have happened if I did`t fix it.

Mine went bad after 2,000 miles and both were replaced under warranty. The disk metal was defective and I am hoping the replacements are a different quality. Well, there is always hope...

I also needed mine swapping after 2000 miles, I see a pattern forming here.
My Triumph dealer told me there had been a bad batch of discs released. We shall see as I wont be happy if they go again!

new pair at 1,000 miles
3rd pair at 6,000 miles
Just had 12,000 mile service and the disks are fine. Was VERY worried about it being on the 3rd set by 6,000 miles, but they've been fine since then. Done under warranty without question...

.. and "knocking fork's" ... wonder if there's a relationship?
Curious - are most of your travels on unimproved roads?
And, regarding "...Was VERY worried about it being on the 3rd set by 6,000 miles, but they've been fine since then."; did they happen to replace the caliper housing on the third go around as well?

Yes, my experience was similar.
I had pulsing in my front brakes and it was the rotors, which were replaced under warranty. To their credit, Triumph did this without question and turned this around very quickly. My brakes feel so much better now.
Somewhere there is a previous thread on this.

I perceived a pulsing in my front brakes after reading all the horror stories (power of suggestion?). That prompted me to try a set of EBC's floating rotor conversion. Way cool and about half the weight of stock. Aluminum carriers with stainless rotor. Anyone need a set of stock rotors that may or may not be warped?
