A Simple Spark Plug Problem - Advise Please

Look thIs might sound like i am being bloody stupid.... BUT

How the hell do you get the spark plugs out of a 955i tiger (2003)
Tank is off, and the plugs are the last thing on my list to do for its 30k service - but every tool i have, every tool i have bought today - wont fit.

I have tried thin wall double length sockets, but still i cant seem to get in there to undo them...

Please somebody help put me out of my missery....
