Rear brake switch BOOT-replacement

The rubber boot that covers the rear brake light switch on my 03 Girlie, started to tatter a few years ago and Triumph does not sell it alone.

Kawasaki part 49006-1041 is a boot from a 650 single front brake line to master cylinder joint. The boot is pretty close though does not grip the harness as tight as the original.

To install, (the side panels do not need to come off) unplug the rear brake lamp switch harness and pull it out from the bike 4" or so, remove the old boot. Remove the two wires from the plug by releasing the small lock and pushing out the wire/spade from the connector.

Each wire end can be fed through the new boot and snaped into the connector - about a 10 minute job. The new boot sits on the top of the switch though does not wrap around the flats like the original but does a better job than the old falling apart one!

How about a sticky

for hard to get bits that can be sourced from other makes, or is there one already somewhere??

Now me, for those cheeky little caliper slider rubber gaiters that only come with a caliper try a Honda, my dealer managed to match one up
