slow idle on start up
Due to numerous reasons the Tiger had sat lonely for a month.
I have driven her 5 or 6 times in the last week, and each time after the engine has time to cool down, when I hit the starter and the bike fires up its idle speed is very very low for about 10 seconds....and sometimes stalls.....second start attempt it does fine and gets up to idle almost instantly. When warm it starts fine as well.
Acts almost like it needs "choked" but its an '05 955i --no choke--
Any suggestions?

If it means anything to you, my Tiger often requires two pushes of the starter button to fire-up when cold. Usually the first crank gets it running for a second or two (slow idle) then it "stalls", the second crank gets her running.
Its been like that since day 1 and I assume that to be the nature of my beast.

Both the 885i's i had were notorious for doing it,and when i spoke to others they had the same, when talking to a dealer and the factory,it was no names no pack drill syndrome!!!,but on the QT i was told the crank has a habit of moving and ignition pick up is slightly out of sinc, just turn the ignition off and start the motor again,my 955 does it from time to to time,i've known 3 or 4 attempts before my 885 would tick over ok.

Mine does it now and then, but only after sitting for a few days without riding. I'll try the switch off/back on method next time...

Different model to yours, but I always let the injectors prime up - hot or cold before attempting to start. Might help???

Low Idle
My 04 955i was sat for 3 weeks whilst I was away. Monday and yesterday it ran fine. Today when I started it the idle was very low. Once going it was fine on the motorway for 50 miles. When I came off the mway, it stalled at each junction once I released the throttle. It starts again each time but strange that its just started doing it. Any ideas ?

Hmmmm...After the issues yesterday morning, she was fine on the way home from work. And today she's been fine too. havent got a clue what went on then....
Maybe her time of the month..At least it only lasted for 1 morning :-)
