Where is a good place to get tiger parts
Ok here is the situation I am about 1000 miles to the 6000 mile oil change. Problem is there is no dealer with in a 300 mile radius of Amarillo Texas. I have a 2005 Tiger 955i. Not hit 5000 miles yet.
So where is the best place to get quality parts?? Mail order is probably better.
Also soon to get a new rear tire. So a place to get tires will be a good idea also
Thanks
James

Welcome Spaceblonde,
Can't help you with any suggestions though, as I'm in Australia.
For most parts though, you can either order them from places like Dennis Kirk, or other online shops. Tyres aren't bike specific, so any dealer would do, once you know they have the ones you want.
Mick

PJ's in Albuquerque http://www.pjsmotorcycles.com/ is a great place that I have dealt with. Mapquest says it's only 288 miles! Run over, get stuff, run home before dinner. That's why you have a Tiger, isn't it?

I've had reasonably good luck ordering parts from Bike Bandit. Prices are better than dealer, but shipping costs even things out a bit. Be aware that they ship via horseback, so times are painfully slow - plan ahead!
Southwest Mototires has consistently great prices on tires, I won't shop anywhere else. I believe they're in Tucson. Seriously, 4 days from placing an order to having new tires on my porch.
Cheers,
Brian

Small world! I share an office with a guy who grew up in, and still owns a farm in Happy. I rode my Tiger from Tucson to Indianapolis, stopped in Happy for lunch on day 2, and rode up 60 through Pampa. The bugs in Canadian were memorable!
