Tiger 1050 Ignition Bypass
I have an 07' tiger 1050 and I would like to make a secondary method for starting the motorcycle other than the key. almost like a hidden push button start setup. I looked over the wiring diagram in the service manual thoroughly and found where I can make connections to bypass things like the kill switch and the ignition button.
The only thing left if the ignition switch. I assume that all the switch does is short all the wires together. I read some other forums about other motorcycles and bypassing the ignition requires a resistor or a diode across some of the connections as sort of a theft prevention method. Does anyone know how this can be done?
Also, do I have to interface with the wires at the ignition switch connector or can I interface with them under the seat. I would rather not cut into any of my wires, thats why I am trying to find a connector on the bike I can uncouple and plug my alternative switch into.
Thanks
